For decades, country music has often been seen as a space dominated by conservative ideals, with little room for those of us who fell outside the mainstream narrative. In recent years however, LGBTQ+ country music artists have been making waves in the industry, challenging the genre's norms and creating a space where queer voices can be celebrated. My Proud to be Country campaign highlights this, advocating for LGBTQ+ representation and visibility in country music.
